MEET THE TEAM

Marcus Cummings
President & Founder

Marcus Cummings leads Generational Health Equity with a deep commitment to prevention, trust, and generational change. Raised in New Orleans, his work is shaped by lived experience—witnessing how systemic barriers, preventable illness, and delayed care impact Black men and their families.

After losing loved ones to heart disease and suicide, and walking alongside his father through a prostate cancer diagnosis, Marcus felt a clear calling to ensure Black men are informed, supported, and empowered to prioritize their health before crisis forces the conversation.

A nationally recognized advocate for nutrition and preventive health, Marcus was a Top 100 finalist on MasterChef Season 5 and authored best-selling wellness resources inspired by his own 70-pound health transformation. He is a recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award and holds degrees in Marketing and Business Administration.

Across every role, Marcus’s vision remains clear: to help build a future where Black men live longer, healthier lives—and healthier generations follow.
